How to prevent the entry of 6 types of pollutants in gear pumps

Pollutants entering the gear pump will affect the working efficiency of the pump, and the serious point will cause the gear pump to malfunction or even be scrapped. Preventing impurities from entering the gear pump is an important point of daily operation and maintenance. Next, I will introduce how to prevent common 6 types of pollutants from entering the pump gear:
①Prevent and reduce external pollution. The hydraulic transmission system must be strictly cleaned before and after assembly. In the process of filling and discharging hydraulic oil and disassembling and installing the hydraulic system, the containers, funnels, pipe fittings, interfaces, etc. should be kept clean to prevent the entry of pollutants.
②Filter. Filter impurities generated by the system. The finer the filter, the better the oil cleanliness level and the longer the service life of the components. A filter of appropriate precision should be installed in the corresponding part of the system, and the filter element should be checked, cleaned or replaced regularly.
③Control the working temperature of hydraulic oil. Excessive working temperature of hydraulic fluid will accelerate its oxidative deterioration, produce various products, and shorten its service life. Therefore, it is necessary to limit the maximum use temperature of the fluid. The gear pump hydraulic system requires an ideal temperature of 15 to 55°C, generally not exceeding 60°C.
④ Regularly check and replace hydraulic oil. The hydraulic fluid should be regularly checked and replaced in accordance with the requirements of the hydraulic equipment operating instructions and the relevant provisions of the maintenance regulations. When replacing hydraulic oil, clean the oil tank and flush the system pipes and hydraulic components.
⑤Waterproof and drainage. The oil tank, oil circuit, cooler pipeline, oil storage container, etc. should be well sealed and not leaking. A drain valve should be provided at the bottom of the fuel tank. Hydraulic oil contaminated by water appears milky white, and measures to separate water should be taken.
⑥ Prevent air from entering. Use the exhaust valve rationally to ensure that the hydraulic system, especially the suction line of the hydraulic pump, is completely sealed. The oil return of the system should be as far away as possible from the oil suction port of the hydraulic pump to provide sufficient time for the air in the return oil to escape. The oil return pipe should be obliquely cut and extend below the liquid level of the oil tank to reduce the impact of fluid flow.
